Welcome to my little corner of the online world. I’m Whitney, the owner and designer behind the Whitney J Slagle Collective. What began as a novice virtual assisting side hustle has blossomed into a website and branding business where I have the joy of crafting custom, bespoke brand identities and websites for dedicated online service providers.
In this creative realm, I find true inspiration and excitement in the work I do. I can lose myself in the process of telling someone's story through their unique branding journey. With a bachelor’s degree in film, I discovered a passion for the editing process—piecing scenes together to weave a whole new story that is unique to the editor. I have found the same creative outlet in branding and web design. Every brand is different and unique to the designer who tells its story.
I am so excited you're here and I cannot wait to help write your story.
I love a good show whether it's currently House of Dragon (Daemon can do no wrong), reliving my teen nostaligia with The Vampire Diaries, swooning while watching Bridgerton (Season 2 was the best), rewatching MASH for the thousandth time or waiting for the final season of Peaky Blinders (the movie has been greenlit for 2025 and I cannot wait).
As a graduate with my BA in film you can imagine that my list of favorite movies is extensive but New World by Park Joon - Hung is forever at the top of my list. My comfort movie is Pride & Prejudice by Joe Wright. Mr. Darcy walking through the field is my roman empire. Self proclaimed hopeless romantic
I live for pasta or pizza and will never be burnt out with either. I also have a massive sweet tooth - coffee ice cream with chocolate chips is my favorite. I also can never walk away from some perfectly salted tortilla chips and guac (pair that with a margarita and we're in business) and nothing gets me more excited than a cheese and charcuterie board.
When I finally break away from the computer, I have probably found myself either in Sephora for the fifth time this week (my weakness), my head buried in a book (currently obsessing over the ToG series by SJM) or annoying my 3 year old English Bulldog, Rocky with constant affection - he is the love of my life.
For as long as I can remember I have had this extreme longing to visit the United Kingdom. In 2019 I was accepted for a 6 month study abroad program in Bristol, UK. Covid hit three months in cutting my time there short and while every single aspect was life changing, I was lucky enough to go to Edinburgh for a weekend with a group of amazing friends that I had made while out there. Scotland was otherworldly and a day spent wandering the castle, eating incredible italian food and exploring one of the oldest graveyards (Harry Potter inspired) was unforgettable. I have been plotting my return ever since.
